Requirements: 21+, possession by minors prohibited, mandatory labeling (ingredients, warnings to keep out of reach of children, consult physician if pregnant or on medication), age-verification for online/remote sellers, state permits required for sellers. On April 1, 2026, the Governor signed SB 985, which strengthens registration and enforcement, requires the Department of Agriculture to notify the Tax Department of violations, clarifies administrative penalties, and mandates a software management system. SB 431 (vape lookalike products) and SB 534 (further KCPA amendments) are pending.
