Hudson Valley Botanicals begins as a one-person operation packing kratom pouches by hand in upstate New York. Word spreads through online communities looking for a vendor that takes quality seriously.

Lab testing begins
Every batch starts going through an independent laboratory before it ships. No exceptions, no "we tested one last month" shortcuts. If the lab hasn't seen this batch, it doesn't leave the building.

Direct supplier relationships
We bypass the US middleman market and start working directly with family farms across Kalimantan, Sumatra, and the Hulu Kapuas river basin. Consistent leaf, fair wages, traceable back to the harvest.

Why we named it Garuda.
For centuries, Mitragyna speciosa has been a cornerstone of daily life in Southeast Asia, cultivated, harvested, and honored by communities across Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Garuda is the mythical bird of Indonesian tradition, a symbol of strength, protection, and the bridge between earth and sky. Our Garuda line was named to honor the origin of every leaf, and the farmers who hand-pick it.
Working directly with families in Kalimantan, Sumatra, and the Hulu Kapuas river basin means shorter supply chains, traditional harvest methods, and a closer relationship with the land. When you choose Garuda, you're supporting a tradition that spans generations.
