About Red Maeng Da
Red Maeng Da is a red-vein Mitragyna speciosa powder made from fully mature leaves. "Maeng Da" loosely translates from Thai as "pimp grade" and is a marketing designation for selectively-graded leaf, not a specific region. Most Indonesian Maeng Da, including this batch, is grown on Borneo (Kalimantan).
This batch (RMD1424) was received and tested in January 2024 and packed by hand in Poughkeepsie, NY. Leaves are harvested at full maturity, with the central vein fully reddened, then given an extended drying window. That extended dry is the processing step that defines a red strain in traditional Indonesian strain naming. The COA value shown above is the actual lab number for this lot.
Alkaloid Profile
The alkaloids most quantified for Red Maeng Da, measured by HPLC against the dry weight of the milled leaf. 7-Hydroxymitragynine is trace-level and naturally occurring, never concentrated.
