About Red Maeng Da
Red Maeng Da is a red-vein Mitragyna speciosa powder made from fully mature leaves. "Maeng Da" loosely translates from Thai as "pimp grade" and is a marketing designation for selectively-graded leaf, not a specific region. Most Indonesian Maeng Da, including this batch, is grown on Borneo (Kalimantan).
Leaves are harvested at full maturity, with the central vein fully reddened, then given an extended drying window, then packed by hand in Poughkeepsie, NY. That extended dry is the processing step that defines a red strain in traditional Indonesian strain naming. The COA value shown above is the actual lab number for the current batch.
Alkaloid Profile
