What makes Sumatra kratom country?
Sumatra takes more rain than Borneo, and Aceh adds altitude to the equation: volcanic highland soil and cooler nights than any lowland river basin. Different soil chemistry and a slower highland growth cycle produce a leaf that finishes darker, denser, and earthier than Kalimantan leaf.

How is the leaf harvested and dried?
Aceh kratom is smallholder agriculture, much like Borneo: family plots, hand picking by maturity, covered drying, then milling for export. Highland harvests run smaller than the big Kalimantan districts, which is why Aceh keeps its own name in the trade rather than a generic island label.
Aceh leaf is the island's best-known contribution to the trade: highland-grown green with a richer, slightly earthier finish than Kalimantan leaf. If Kalimantan is the benchmark, Aceh is the contrast: same species, different island, visibly and aromatically its own leaf.
